Thank you for helping us to ensure the health and safety of those who ride, and work for, DART. With the extra precautions we’ve taken to ensure your safety, (such as increased cleaning and sanitization) we’ve relied on your help by limiting your travel to essential trips, practicing social distancing at stops and on DART, and wearing masks. As more businesses and organizations in central Iowa re-open, DART wants to make sure we are safely able to provide transportation to those who want to ride and those who rely on DART.

During this pandemic, transit continue to play an important role in connecting people to essential services. Thanks to some innovative community partners, DART is working to serve our community more than ever as we navigate COVID-19.

Effective Monday, June 1, 2020, DART will restore service to two Local Routes (Local Route 10 – East University and Local Route 11 – Ingersoll/Valley Junction) and add service for select trips to the schedule of Express Route 98 – Ankeny.

DART announced a new Chief Operating Officer and Deputy CEO, new Chief Planning Officer and Chief External Affairs Officer on Tuesday, May 12, 2020.

Effective Monday, May 18, DART will begin offering service on select trips on Local Route 8 – Fleur Drive.

DART will update this page as it becomes aware of employees testing positive for COVID-19.

DART highlights some local suppliers who were recently able to step up and meet our needs to ensure all employees stay safe and healthy.

DART was notified on April 22 that a maintenance employee tested positive for COVID-19, commonly referred to as Coronavirus.

Riders will now only be allowed into DART Central Station to either use the restroom or speak to a representative at the Customer Service window.

Effective, Sunday, April 12, DART will make more temporary reductions to its weekday service. Most DART Local Routes will operate the Saturday service schedule on weekdays. Service will be discontinued on a handful of Local Routes.
