The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority will not operate bus service on Monday, Sept. 2, in observation of Labor Day. Service will resume Tuesday, Sept. 3.
DART is in the early stages of updating its fare system – the ways people pay to ride DART – and is seeking rider input on its fare policy. (IMPORTANT NOTE: DART is NOT proposing to increase fare prices.)
To celebrate expanded evening services effective Aug. 18, DART is hosting date night. All DART Local, Express, Flex and On Call services will be FREE on Aug. 23, 2013 starting at 5 p.m.
DART is expanding service in August and is now hiring professional bus operators. To help meet candidates, DART will host a job fair from 7 am. to noon on Saturday, July 20, at DART Central Station, 620 Cherry Street.
The public is invited to a series of seven informational sessions July 29 through Aug. 1, to learn about the planned changes to and expansion of bus service by DART.
RAGBRAI cyclists and event goers will have an easy ride between their camp site to festivities in downtown Des Moines until midnight Tuesday, July 23, via the free-to-ride D-Line Downtown Shuttle.
