Provide feedback on how DART collects public input 

DART is collecting feedback as it updates its Title VI program. Title VI is part of the Civil Rights Act that ensures people are not excluded from involvement in an organization or use of its services because of their race, color or national origin. DART is required by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) to update its Title VI Program and submit it for review every three years. 

Join DART for a public meeting 

DART will share background information on its Title VI program and its Public Participation Plan at a public meeting. Riders are encouraged to attend the meeting and provide feedback to DART staff about how they like to receive DART information and how they like to provide input on changes DART may be considering.  

  • When: Thursday, April 21 at 5:30 p.m. 

  • Where: Multimodal Room, on the second floor of DART Central Station (620 Cherry Street).  

A Spanish language interpreter will attend the meeting. Interpreters in other languages or hearing and visual services are available upon request. To submit a request, contact DART Customer Service before Friday, April 15 by: 

  • Visiting the window in the DART Central Station lobby, 

  • Calling 515-283-8100 and selecting option 0, or 

  • Emailing dart@ridedart.com

Those who can’t attend the meeting can review DART’s current Public Participation Plan, and submit a comment to DART Customer service using the methods listed above. 

Changes to DART’s Title VI program 

DART is not making any major changes to its Title VI program as part of this review. However, DART is using this review as an opportunity to ensure it is effectively reaching diverse populations, including those that are racially diverse, low-income populations, and those who may have Limited English Proficiency (LEP). 

Along with attending our meeting, we invite you to review the current Public Participation Plan and provide comments to DART about any opportunities for improvement you see to communicate with riders and the public.
