DART needs to hear from our riders on proposed changes, which include the addition of a new crosstown route in north Des Moines, changes to Local Route 10 and updates to schedules and frequencies for many of DART's Local Routes.
DART was notified in January 2018 that it was the recipient of a grant through the Iowa Clean Air Attainment Program that will be used to create a new crosstown route that travels east and west on Euclid/Douglas between Merle Hay Mall and E 42nd Street. As DART works on planning this route, we want to hear from our riders about how they might use this service.
DART is currently evaluating service on Local Routes 1, 4 and 10 to see if they need to be changed to better serve our riders. Because of this, DART is currently collecting surveys from our riders to decide if changes are necessary.
Beginning on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, DART will provide two daily bus trips twice a week on Tuesday and Thursdays between the Deer Ridge Apartment Complex on SW 63rd St and Creston Avenue in Des Moines to the Walmart in Windsor Heights.
