A survey conducted by Capital Crossroads found that young professionals in Greater Des Moines are putting public transportation as a top priority.

The results parallel the findings of a report by the American Public Transportation Association: Young adults are multimodal and choose their transportation mode – driving, walking, biking or riding the bus – based on their destination.

The Capital Crossroads survey was sent to 58 young professional organizations in the region and received more than 400 responses. Also on YP’s priority list were better parks, citywide Wi-Fi, more public art and more bike lanes.
