The public is invited to a series of 12 public meetings Nov. 10-19, 2014, to provide feedback on a new DART fare policy draft. The new policy will cover:
- Types of fare media including cash, passes, tokens and smart cards
- New options for daily, weekly and monthly passes
- Transfers for riders paying with cash or tokens
The policy has been drafted in preparation for new fare boxes being purchased by DART. The public provided input prior to the policy being drafted during an initial series of public meetings in November 2013. The new policy will go into effect with the installation of the new fare boxes in late 2015 or early 2016.
IMPORTANT NOTE: DART has no immediate plans to raise the price of fares.
The meetings will include a short presentation from DART staff and comment period.
