In celebration of National Bike Month, from May 1 – 31, 2025 you can ride any Local and Express service free if your bring a bike on your trip.

All DART buses are equipped with a bike rack, so hop on any route or service and we’ll get you to the next leg of your bike ride for free.

DART's Bike & Ride Program

DART is dedicated to being a regular part of your commute and has year-round resources for bicyclists.  

DART Central Station and select bus stops have bike racks nearby. For those looking for secure storage, DART Central Station has a Bike Storage program with changing rooms.

Bike & Board Month Rules

Please take a few moments to read the following rules for this promotion.

• Free rides start at beginning of service day on May 1 and go until the end of service on May 31.

• Bikes must be operational to qualify for a free ride. 

• Bikes that do not fit on DART bus bike racks (including the Street Collective bikeshare bikes) cannot be used for the Bike & Board Month promotion. Learn what sized fit DART's bike racks on our Bike & Ride page.

• Bikes cannot be brought on board DART buses. If all bike slots on racks are taken, please wait for the next bus. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. 

• At the end of your trip, please exit the front door and remind the operator you will be removing a bike from the rack.
