Once you know your route or routes, check the schedules to determine the best time to start your trip.

If you are using this website to view your schedule, click on the link at the top of the page to locate the schedule for your route type, then click on the route name/number to view a schedule.

If you are using printed schedules, check their covers to identify your routes by name and color. Note that each printed route schedule is colored to match the route's color on the DART route map. Both online and printed schedules provide you with the information you need to plan your trip including:

• Bus arrival and departure times based on the bus' travel direction
• A map showing the streets this bus will take
• A Monday through Friday schedule
• Saturday and Sunday schedules for routes that operate on weekends
• Information about fares, tokens, passes, special zone fares
• Phone numbers for more information

Determine the direction you need to travel on the route to reach your destination – labeled as northbound, southbound, eastbound or westbound – and find the schedule for that direction. The headings across the top of this schedule list major intersections/bus stops along the route. The column below lists bus arrival and departure times for each.

Look for the intersection or bus stop closest to you and read down that column to find your most convenient arrival and departure times. Read across to the right to see what time the bus will reach other intersections or bus stops along this route and the time it will reach your destination.

Only major intersections and bus stops are listed on the schedule. However, you can board the bus at any DART bus stop sign the route. If the bus stop where you want to board isn't listed on the schedule, you can get a close estimate of when the bus will arrive by checking the column for a stop that is just before your boarding location.

If you need to transfer to another bus, check the schedule for the route you need to transfer to. Coordinate the time your first bus arrives at your transfer intersection with the time you'll need to get on the next bus.
