Real-time bus data not available on Saturday, March 24

Starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, real-time bus information on all DART routes will not be available for several hours. The system used to provide real-time information will be under maintenance for an upgrade which will require the real-time information to be shut off while they work. Real-time data will be back up and running by Saturday night.

Free Wi-Fi on all DART Buses

Starting Jan. 2, 2018, DART riders will have access to free Wi-Fi on all DART routes.

How to get to 80/35 in downtown Des Moines

DART is extending Route 60 to run every 20 minutes until midnight on Friday, July 7 and Saturday, July 8 to take you to and from the 80/35 Music Festival.

Local Route 10 - East University

Service operates between DART Central Station, the Broadlawns Clinic on East University and Pleasant Hill.

Connections: Local Route 1 and Local Route 4 at East 14th and East 15th Streets. Local Route 17 at University and Hubbell Avenues. All Express Routes and the D-Line Shuttle on Grand Avenue and Locust Street in downtown Des Moines. All Local and Crosstown Routes at DART Central Station.

Service Change Scheduled for Aug. 21

To better serve customers, DART is making changes to Local Routes 1, 3, 4, 14, 52 and Flex Routes 72 and 74 effective Sunday, August 21, 2016.

Public art takes to the streets on public transit

Public art is taking to the streets of Greater Des Moines in a new initiative that wraps artists’ one-of-a-kind designs on public transit buses. The Greater Des Moines Public Art Foundation Project Spaces initiative, in partnership with the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART), will unveil the new public art initiative at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 20, 2014, at The Hub Spot Plaza on The Principal Riverwalk at Court Avenue and Water Street.

DART riders, we want to hear from you!

DART is collecting feedback from riders through an online survey as it plans for a new crosstown route that would travel east/west on Euclid/Douglas in north Des Moines and would not travel downtown to DART Central Station.

DART hosting DMARC Mobile Food Pantry at DART Central Station

The Des Moines Area Religious Council (DMARC) Mobile Food Pantry is on-site at DART Central Station on the first and third Thursday of each month, and will next be at DART on Thursday, April 5.

Shuttle service at Deer Ridge begins Tuesday, Feb. 27

Beginning on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, DART will provide two daily bus trips twice a week on Tuesday and Thursdays.
