DART website updated with minor changes

Posted on August, 2 2021

Riders will notice that DART made some minor changes to its website to update its web platform and improve the ease of use of the site. The changes DART made that will impact riders are described below.

New Menu

DART updated its menus from “on hover” navigation to “on click” navigation. This means that riders will now need to click on the heading they want to access to view a drop-down menu of options. This change improves accessibility of the site and removes issues riders were having accessing pages and links under the menus.

Route information

DART combined all route pages under the following categories: Local Routes, Express Routes, Shuttles, On Call, School Trippers and Flex Connect. To access route pages, riders would select the category, and then read the description of the route and select the route they need. Riders unfamiliar with DART’s services are encouraged to use the MyDART Trip Planner or the links under the How to Ride section to learn how to read a schedule and plan a trip.

Fares and Services

DART combined two former menus into one streamlined menu, titled “Fares and Services.” In this category, riders can find links to various information sources, including details on how much bus fares cost, where to buy bus passes, information on DART’s Paratransit and Rideshare program, and details for employers and riders who use their employee or student ID to ride DART.
