DART Date Night: Do One Thing and pledge to ride DART free Friday, April 25, 2014

Posted on April, 21 2014

Everyone has a role in creating a more sustainable future for Greater Des Moines, and regional leaders are asking you to pledge to Do One Thing (DOT).

“DOT pledges are simple activities – riding the bus more often or using tap water rather than bottled water – that, when taken on by nearly 500,000 people,  result in substantial advancements in the region’s sustainability,” stated Todd Ashby, Executive Director of the Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization.

To help you Do One Thing, DART is hosting Date Night. All DART Local and Flex Routes will be FREE, Friday, April 25, 2014, from at 5 p.m. until 11:40 p.m.

Some out-of-the-box ideas for DART Date Night:

  • Hy-Vee Night at the Drake Relays
  • A walk at Pappajohn Sculpture Park or The Principal Riverwalk
  • Live thoroughbred racing at Prairie Meadows
  • Open Mic Poetry Night at Java Joes DART Central Station
