Individuals who join a DART RideShare vanpool during the month of October will receive 50% off the first full month’s fare.

DART anticipates significant disruptions to bus service on Sunday, Sept. 29, due to a pair of events that day. Transit riders are advised to plan their travel accordingly.

Effective Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, three Route 11 morning trips will be adjusted.

Individuals will have an opportunity to learn about public transit in Greater Des Moines and ride all DART Local, Express, Flex and On Call services for free during Try Transit Week Oct. 6-12, 2013.

Residents of Greater Des Moines can attend DART’s monthly training class on Sept. 25 to learn how to ride public transit in the city.

Residents trying to reach the only overnight cooling shelter in Polk County can ride there for free on DART buses.

The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority will not operate bus service on Monday, Sept. 2, in observation of Labor Day. Service will resume Tuesday, Sept. 3.
